Sponsored walk - Congratulations

Tina and Lottie, Gemma and Blue, Abbie, Willow and Scout (3 adults and 4 dogs) decided they were going to walk 8 miles of the Wash Sea Bank today from Sutton Bridge Lighthouse to West Kings Lynn.

The team set off at 9am and completed the walk about 12pm. The weather was fairly kind to them, they were lucky with no rain, a bit of sunshine, but they were battling the winds left over from Storm Gerritt, winds were predicted to be 40mph but I think the gods were with them as I don't think they were as bad as this.

We had lots of photos and updates along the way, there was one mishap where Scout took an unofficial swim in a dyke (accidentally fell in!!)

The build up chat last night in our group was quite funny... The advice given to take with you were:

Proper Shoes

Lots of Water

Lots of Snacks

Extra Layers

Waterproofs wer essential..

The question how do i decide on margin of water volume? Weight v's hydration!

This then set us all off with guess work... 40L was suggested, for carrying this amount of water we then decided an Aqua Roll was needed to carry said water and a pack horse for snacks, layers and waterproofs....

To share in the fun here are a few of the photos along the way....

Many congratulations to my team mates and dear friends in achieveing your walk today.

The team have raised £200 to go towards their dogs.
