Today Julia, Tina and Claire joined with Fire Dragons at the Northants event to practice with the potential Crufts team for next year.
Millie and Stan joined up with Fire Griffin (Nashi/Luna/Lilo/Mable) for a practice and see what times they could achieve. Millie ran 15 of the 18 heats starting as anchor dog and then moving to her favourite lead/lights dog. She ran perfectly and took some early crosses without running out, which Tina was proud of.
Stan and Claire also joined in the fun, with Stan running 6 heats in open for the first time. He had some issues with balls!!! - running after them when left in the run back area and lost Claire a couple of times - something for us to work on!! However all in all he ran well and gained his first 30 points in the league.
The team's best time for the day was 19.59 secs.
